The legend that is Michael Jackson is dead.
He was found by paramedics at his home above Sunset Boulevard having cardiac arrest shortly before 12:30pm pacific time. He was announced dead at 2:26 pm at UCLA Medical Centre 2 miles from his home.
He was found not to be breathing and never regained consciousness.
He was just about to embark on a massive 50 date world tour which was hoped to be his comeback tour and put him back on top of the pop world where he belonged.
It is thought that the stress of the up coming tour was to blame for his early death at the age of just 50.
He was the seventh child of the Jackson family and made his professional debut on the music scene aged just 11 as a member of the The Jackson Five.
Michael Jackson Began his solo career a couple of years later while still a member of The Jackson Five.
His solo career went from strength to strength and he recorded many successful records which went on to sell millions around the world and gave him the title of The King Of Pop.
His hit records included Off The Wall(1979), Bad(1987), Dangerous(1991), History(1995) and his hit record from 1982 Thriller that is still the best selling album of all time.
